The majority of our employees are graduates of a two-year technical college program. Once an individual joins Chelar Tool & Die, they begin a four-year, 8,000-hour apprenticeship. This extensive training results in a better experience for the new staff member and a higher level of training, comprehension and retention on designated tools.

As a testimony to our training program, the National Tooling & Machining Association (NTMA) recently awarded a national title to one of our apprentices. Chelar is able to attract top engineers by offering them opportunities to work on current and emerging technology and the appeal of learning from working alongside experienced staff.
